La Vereda is the entry point to Miguel's range and arguably the most immediately joyful. Drawing from two of his best parcels in the Sierra de Montilla. an area of historically recognised superior quality, it brings together the freshness of Río Frío Alto and the structure of Benavente Alto into something greater than the sum of its parts. Six months on fine lees add a creamy, textural depth that anchors the wine's natural vivacity. 2024 brought particular energy: green and clean, with a lively reductive edge and anise and liquorice trailing on the finish. Jovial, pert, easy-drinking, but with real substance underneath. The most approachable wine in the lineup, and a brilliant introduction to what Montilla looks like at altitude through the hands of someone who really cares.
