Agriculture: The El Hierro Blanco 2024 is the white wine that represents the island of El Hierro. The grapes are from different plots at varying locations, altitudes, and exposures. The vines are located in the north and northeast of the island of El Hierro, planted in volcanic sandy soil with small amounts of clay. These are old vines between 50 and 100 years old, located at an altitude of 500-800 meters above sea level
Vinification: They are pressed whole bunch, and then the must is left to settle. It is fermented with native yeasts in used stainless steel and steel tanks, where it remains on its lees for 9 months. Bottled in June 2025.
Notes: Pale golden in color. On the nose, it is mineral, volcanic, and pungent, with notes of gunpowder and crushed stones, as well as white fruit and white peach and toasted pine nuts. On the palate, medium body. Good freshness and medium-high lemon acidity, it feels balanced and harmonious. The fruit/flower notes start with white fruit and flower, like honeysuckle, and over its length blends into juicy, green sour apple. A long, dry, and salty finish, common for this very talented winemaker.
