Istinto Naturale

Istinto Naturale is a family-driven project born in 2019, deeply rooted in the traditions of Marsala, on the westernmost tip of Sicily. Founded by Vincenzo Angileri and his cousin Leonardo, the winery is a tribute to their heritage—a return to the practices of their grandparents, who crafted wines with instinct, tradition, and respect for nature.

Their vision is to express the essence of their land: the sun, the sea, the salt-laden air, and the winds that shape the vineyards along the coast. Working organically and without synthetic treatments, they cultivate their vines near the sea, adhering to classic Marsala traditions while producing dry, saline, and expressive white wines. In the cellar, intervention is minimal—only gentle, mechanical movements like racking, pumping over, and decanting, allowing the wine to evolve naturally.

For Vincenzo, winemaking is inseparable from memory. As a child, he played in the courtyard where his family harvested grapes, hid among barrels in the cellar, and breathed in the scent of fermenting must. These early experiences now shape his work: wines that embody the history, wisdom, and intuition passed down through generations. From vineyard to bottle, Istinto Angileri is a tribute to Marsala’s legacy: crafted by hand, guided by nature, and enriched by the stories of the past.
