Bertolino
The Bertolino farm was founded by two brothers driven by their deep passion for their homeland in western Sicily, specifically the Lilibetan area, which is particularly well-suited for viticulture. This region has long been known for its exceptional wine production, especially Marsala, though it is currently facing a period of crisis, with many vineyards being abandoned.
Bertolino's commitment to preserving and enhancing the land is evident in every aspect of their winemaking. They focus on creating wines with a low environmental impact, using traditional methods in the vineyard and avoiding agricultural machinery. Their approach is deeply rooted in organic farming principles, and they embrace natural winemaking practices, including fermenting without the use of selected yeasts.
Through these choices, Bertolino aims to craft wines that reflect the unique terroir of western Sicily while minimizing their ecological footprint, preserving the land for future generations.
